Chocolate Making & Illustrating – Gateshead
Davenport’s Chocolates hosts A Most Marvellous Morning of Chocolate Making & Illustration at its real-life chocolate factory in Pelaw, led by Swiss-trained chocolatier Jane Williams, who’s been making chocolates for over 25 years.
Guests create their own giant 500g chocolate bar using cocoa butter colours and their choice of flavours. You can also create chocolate bar wrapper designs and a paper bag for your own chocolates.
Published illustrator Hannah Graham runs an illustration masterclass alongside the chocolate-making, no experience necessary, and quietly sketches attendees throughout the morning, with everyone taking home their own portrait as a keepsake. It’s for ages 14 and up, with free parking on site and every guest leaving with their giant chocolate bar and silver whirls to enjoy.
