You are free to use the site without providing any information to us. We will only collect personal data if you choose to subscribe to our weekly email, or enter one of our competitions.
What personal data we collect and why
Contact data: The only information we request from you is your email address, should you wish to sign up to our weekly email.
The weekly email is the primary means of contact with you, however in future, we may contact you with HLN marketing data via this means.
Any marketing will come directly from HLN. We will never pass your data on to a third party.
Aggregated Data: This type of data may be derived from your personal data but is is not classed as personal data in law and does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity. It is used by our team to collect statistical or demographic data for the website and email, for example, to assess how popular a specific article has been.
Competition Entry Data: By entering one of our compeitions you will automatically be signed up to both High Life North’s mailing list and the competition sponsor mailing list. This is clearly set out as a term of entry and you are able to unsubscribe from either mailing list at any time. Your competition entry will still be counted.
How is your personal data collected?
The only way we are able to collect your personal data is by your signing up to our mailing list via the form at the bottom of every page, contacting us through the form on Get In Touch or Advertise With Us, or entering one of our competitions.
How long do we keep your data for?
We will keep your data for as long as you are an active member or until you unsubscribe from our mailing list.
