This gorgeous retreat is hidden on the banks of the historic Hurworth Burn reservoir. Outside, the treehouses and waterside cabins are designed to blend in seamlessly with the nature surrounding it, while inside, they offer luxurious hideaways with log-burning stoves, super king-sized beds and incredible views.

The treehouses at Rest at the Nest have incredible views over the rolling countryside from their elevated position.

With a super-king bed, under-floor heating, a rain shower and luxurious open-plan living, it’s a perfect hideaway. And if you don’t want to switch off completely, there’s also wifi, an inbuilt music system and a smart TV.

Oh, and not forgetting the private hot tub and outdoor dining so you can enjoy the views in style.

One thing about these treehouses is they’re deceptively spacious. In Wren, the super king-size bed overlooks the pond, so you can spend a lazy morning in bed watching the wildlife.

Cook a romantic meal in the fully equipped kitchen, enjoy a cocktail in the private hot tub and if you feel like stretching your legs, explore the surrounding countryside before coming back to enjoy the views on the private balcony.

The waterside lodges at Rest at the Nest literally have open countryside right on your doorstep. The design of the retreat means that no lodges are overlooked – ultimate private serenity.

With open-plan living and panoramic views, these lodges also have suspended log-burning stoves for the ultimate cosy vibes in autumn/winter.

The bathroom in Sandpiper is equipped with a rain shower, double sink and underfloor heating.

Step outside to the terrace which has a private hot tub – you can spend hours in here relaxing in nature.

Henry’s favourite, of course, Kingfisher is the dog-friendly option at Rest at the Nest.

With the same beautiful decor and layout as the other accommodations, Kingfisher has unspoilt views over the Hurworth Burn Reservoir. Each of the rooms has floor-to-ceiling windows, so you can take your coffee back to bed and watch the sunrise.

Each of the treehouses and lodges also comes with a welcome pack of goodies (plus a little something for your furry friend).

Want to take your family and friends with you? Rest at the Nest also has a fully-equipped home on its grounds which can accommodate large groups of up to 12 adults.

The lounge has a log-burning stove, there’s a large kitchen area and a dining area that seats 12 people so everyone can dine together. During the day, explore the extensive estate, have fun in the hot tub, entertain the kids in the children’s play area, or chill out in the garden hammock.

There’s also a BBQ and outdoor seating area for sunny days.
