Victor Indigo November is a wine shop and tasting room in Gateshead’s Railway Quarter, just across the High Level Bridge from Newcastle. Opened in 2023 by Charlotte and Lorrie Fenwick after they left their day jobs to pursue a love of French wine, it specialises in French wines, cheeses and charcuterie, alongside a wider range from around the world.

The draw: the range genuinely stands out, stocking wines you won’t easily find elsewhere in the North East, plus gifts and hampers and free local delivery within a 10 mile radius when you spend £75.

Wednesday to Saturday 12pm to 8pm
