Nucasa – Lifestyle store and coffee bar in Jesmond, Newcastle
Nucasa is a lifestyle store curating design-led homeware, stationery and gifts, founded in 2020 by owner Laura around a love of interiors, slow living and supporting small independent makers. It’s inspired by Scandinavian design principles, and alongside the shop floor there’s an in-store coffee bar serving hot and cold drinks plus locally sourced baked goods, with rotating exhibitions from local artists on the walls too.
The draw: it’s a genuine hybrid, browse considered homeware and gifts, grab a coffee, and take in a local art exhibition all in one visit. Packaging is recycled and reused where possible, fitting with the shop’s sustainability focus.
Vibe check: calm, considered and welcoming, a nice spot to slow down with a coffee rather than a quick in and out shop.
