House of Tides

House of Tides – Michelin-starred dining from Kenny Atkinson on the Newcastle Quayside.

House of Tides was opened in February 2014 by Kenny and Abbie Atkinson, set inside a beautifully restored Grade I listed 16th-century merchant’s house on the Quayside. Kenny, a born-and-bred Geordie with three decades behind the pass, also runs Solstice by Kenny Atkinson, making him the first chef to hold two separate Michelin stars in Newcastle.

Spread across two floors, the ground floor keeps things relaxed with original flagstones and exposed beams, perfect for a drink or nightcap, while upstairs the main dining room offers an open fireplace and views over the Tyne.

The restaurant has held its Michelin star since 2015, built on Kenny and Abbie’s vision of a casual, informal space that never compromises on quality.
