Mini Beast Hunting – Washington
Washington Wetland Centre’s Mini Beast Hunt returns, fun for all the family.
Washington Wetland Centre invites families to go bug hunting in Hollowood as part of its Dragonfly Festival on Thursday 23rd July, using brushes, magnifiers and observation trays to search out what’s living in the soil, leaves and wood.
Woodlice, millipedes, stink bugs and other mini-beasts are all fair game for young explorers, making it a hands-on way to get into wildlife and outdoor learning for curious kids of any age. The activity area is level and tools are lightweight, with staff on hand to help and a quieter space nearby for anyone who needs a sensory break. It’s included in general admission with no booking required.
