Kids Craft Workshop: Foam Clay Monsters – Sunderland
Melidy Makes runs a fortnightly kids craft workshop at Grindon Young People’s Centre in Sunderland, with this session on Saturday 25th July inviting children to create their own monster out of foam clay.
All materials are provided, with children guided through the activity while keeping full creative control over their own design, helping build fine motor skills and mindfulness along the way.Â
Two qualified teaching assistants are on hand throughout, and the session is SEN approved, though it isn’t a quiet environment, so it’s worth bearing in mind for anyone with noise sensitivity, with SEN quiet sessions planned for the new year. It’s suitable for ages 3 and up, with adult supervision required, and while aprons are provided, messy clothing is still recommended.
