It’s a Sagittarius Full Blue Moon today – here’s what to expect

SO, WHAT EXACTLY IS A BLUE MOON?
The Sagittarius Full Blue Moon arrives today at 8:45am at 9 degrees. And if it feels like something special is in the air, that’s because it is. This is the second Full Moon in the same calendar month, which makes it a Blue Moon. Yes, that’s where the saying ‘once in a blue moon’ comes from, and yes, they really are that rare.
Full Moons always bring heightened energy and amplified emotions – but a Blue Moon? These themes are turned all the way up.
MEET THE ENERGY: SAGITTARIUS, THE COSMIC ADVENTURER
Sagittarius is the spiritual philosopher and adventurer of the zodiac, and this moon is here to remind you – loudly and joyfully – that anything is possible. Ruled by Jupiter, the planet of good luck, fortune and expansion, this is a moon that wants to propel you forward. It’s asking you to stop waiting, start believing and bring your biggest dreams into your actual, everyday reality.
It’s also a truth-seeking moon. Expect it to hold up a mirror and ask the big question: Is this really the life I want to be living? Is this my truth?
THE BIG THEME: YOUR BELIEFS
Sagittarius is an optimist at heart – it helps us dream big and genuinely see that anything is possible. But here’s the catch: you have to believe it too.
The central theme of this moon is beliefs. You have to believe you are deserving of what you desire for your dreams to become a reality. Take a good look at the beliefs you’re carrying. Do they serve you? Now is the time to step into the energy of I am worthy. I am deserving.
WHAT THE SUN IN GEMINI ADDS TO THE MIX
At every Full Moon, the Sun sits directly opposite the Moon, and right now, the Sun is in Gemini. Gemini loves change, thrives on it, in fact. So this pairing brings a powerful current of transformation running through this lunation. A change in direction is calling you. The question is: do you believe you deserve it?
JUPITER IN CANCER: COMFORT, FAMILY AND GOOD FORTUNE
When working with a Full Moon, we also look at where its ruling planet sits. Jupiter – the ruler of Sagittarius – is currently in Cancer, where it’s actually exalted (a particularly powerful placement). This brings wonderful opportunities and good fortune, but also a gentle nudge toward the things that make us feel safe and nurtured: home, family, close friendships and the deep comfort of belonging.
