Delcor lets you customise your own luxury furniture – and it’s a game changer

Ever been furniture shopping and thought, none of this really feels like me? The style’s off, the proportions don’t quite work, or it just doesn’t suit your space. If that sounds familiar, Delcor might be the answer you’ve been looking for.
As we head into a new year, there’s something satisfying about resetting our homes — choosing pieces that feel intentional, personal and made to last. In a world of fast interiors and short-lived trends, Delcor has been quietly doing things differently for almost 60 years.
Founded in 1967, Delcor is a North East furniture maker specialising in handcrafted, bespoke upholstered furniture. Every sofa is still made by hand in their Northumberland workshop, using traditional techniques, solid hardwood frames and a level of attention to detail that’s becoming increasingly rare.
The result? Furniture that’s designed around you, not pulled from a warehouse.
MADE-TO-ORDER, NOT OFF-THE-SHELF
What really sets Delcor apart is the level of customisation. Every sofa is made to order, meaning you can tailor it to suit your body, your lifestyle and your home. Seat depth too shallow? Back too low? Need a longer length or a different filling? No problem.
From seat height and cushion comfort to fabric choice, leg style and proportions, everything can be adjusted. Each frame is crafted from solid hardwood beech and comes with a 50-year guarantee, which tells you everything you need to know about how seriously Delcor takes quality.
All designs are created in-house and handmade by skilled craftspeople — many of whom have spent decades with the company, refining their craft and passing those skills on. It’s furniture made slowly and properly, the way it should be.
The best way to experience it is in person. Delcor’s destination showrooms offer a relaxed, unpressured environment where design consultants take the time to understand what you’re looking for. With access to premium fabrics and leathers from names like Linwood, Colefax & Fowler and Wemyss, you can really make the piece your own.
MEET THE NEW COLLECTION
For 2026, Delcor introduces three new sofa styles – The Apollo, The Cosmos and The Monza – each with its own look and personality, but all sharing the same foundations: comfort, craftsmanship and longevity.

The Apollo Sofa
Soft curves, sculptural lines and a subtle nod to Art Deco design define The Apollo. It’s elegant without being showy, modern but not cold. Generous scatter cushions and a sprung base make it seriously comfortable — the kind of sofa you sink into at the end of the day and don’t rush to leave. A great choice if you want something that looks refined but still feels relaxed.
The Cosmos Sofa
Cosmos leans into classic design with a contemporary twist. Gently curved lines, pleated arms and tapered legs give it a timeless feel that works just as well in traditional homes as it does in cleaner, more modern spaces. With deep scatter cushions and supportive structure, it’s equal parts polished and inviting.
The Monza Sofa
If your taste is more modern, Monza might be the one. Clean lines, tailored proportions and slim metal legs give it a distinctly European feel. It’s minimalist but comfortable, structured yet soft — perfect for contemporary interiors where design matters just as much as comfort.
WHY GO BESPOKE?
Choosing bespoke furniture is about investing in something that actually works for you. Not just visually, but practically too. Delcor sofas can be adapted to suit how you sit, how you relax and how you use your space — making them far more personal than anything mass-produced.
It’s also a more sustainable way to furnish your home. Delcor has always offered refurbishment and re-upholstery services, allowing customers to update fabrics, repair frames and breathe new life into existing pieces instead of replacing them entirely. Furniture designed to evolve, not be thrown away.
At its core, Delcor is for people who care about quality, longevity and thoughtful design. It’s about supporting local craftsmanship, investing in a North East heritage brand, and choosing something that will still look and feel good years down the line.
