Forage is bringing a brand new festive weekend to shop, sip and scran

The Forage Christmas Market is bringing a fresh wave of festive excitement to Northumberland this December.

And if you love supporting independent makers, discovering unique gifts or love good food and craft beer, this brand-new seasonal weekend is instantly worth marking in your calendars.

Thanks to overwhelming demand, Forage is launching an additional winter market giving us even more time, more talent and more seasonal sparkle to enjoy.

Happening on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th December 2025 from 12pm – 6pm, the market returns to the beautifully rustic setting of Rigg & Furrow in Acklington, one of Northumberland’s most charming farmhouse breweries and a festive destination to get you into the Christmas spirit.

Don’t miss our competition to win four tickets and a £50 voucher to spend.

A NEW LINE-UP OF 50+ MAKERS, CREATIVES & ARTISAN BRANDS

There’s something so heartwarming about watching a community of independent makers and small businesses come together at Christmas – especially in a setting as like Rigg & Furrow.

Think wooden beams, twinkling lights, the soft hum of local chatter and the smell of something delicious drifting from the courtyard… it all sets the scene for a market that feels special from the moment you arrive.

And this December edition isn’t just repeat of November. Instead, Forage has curated an entirely new line-up of over 50 makers, designers and artisan businesses, all hand-selected for their creativity, craft and festive magic. If you’re hunting for meaningful gifts, this market will be your happy place.

Expect everything from hand-thrown ceramics and illustration prints to slow-fashion pieces, handcrafted jewellery, homeware treasures and charming artisan food gifts that make for perfect stocking fillers. Every maker has a story to share, every stall holds something surprising and every purchase supports real, local talent. You can even take an early peek at the exhibitors through Forage’s online directory.

STREET FOOD WORTH ARRIVING HUNGRY FOR

One of the best things about the Forage Christmas Market – aside from the shopping, the atmosphere and the craft beer – is the street food. And this year’s line-up is nothing short of delicious.

Saturday brings the irresistible flavours of Goodtimes Tacos alongside the smoky, bubbling wood-fired pizzas from Matchbox Pizza. On Sunday, the vibe shifts into comfort territory with beautifully crafted dishes from Gnocchi Gnights and coastal-inspired indulgence from The Potted Lobster. From spicy to cheesy to melt-in-your-mouth soft, the courtyard and taproom will be buzzing all weekend with comforting festive flavours.

CRAFT BEER, COSY CORNERS & SEASONAL CHEER

If you’ve ever been to Rigg & Furrow, you’ll know that the taproom alone is worth the visit. This independent, family-run farmhouse brewery is known for its fermentation-led beers, relaxed ambience and views that stretch across the gorgeous Northumbrian countryside.

The taproom will stay open until 7pm on Saturday and 6pm on Sunday, offering more than ten taps of fresh farmhouse beer alongside soft drinks and hot coffee – perfect for warming up after your round of festive browsing. It’s the ideal spot to pause, catch up with friends, and toast the start of the Christmas season.

ENTRY IS JUST £1 — AND IT GIVES BACK

To help support the growth of these popular markets, Forage has introduced a small £1 entry fee for this edition. Children under 16 and dogs are welcome for free, and your ticket does more than simply grant access.

Visitors can enjoy free on-site parking, free entry into the festive raffle featuring homeware luxuries and Rigg & Furrow beer and the feel-good knowledge that 10% of ticket profits go directly to Amble Food Bank. It’s a simple contribution that fuels community support in a meaningful way.

Tickets can be purchased in advance online or you can pay at the door when you arrive.
