Autumn at Saltmoore: Champagne festive afternoon tea, run club and special offers

This autumn, Saltmoore, the serene, wellness-led sanctuary in Sandsend, continues to make waves with a new season of indulgent experiences.

If you’re craving a romantic getaway that ticks every box – spa relaxation, adventure and fine food – Saltmoore is the go-to destination this autumn.

Tucked away just outside Whitby, in the postcard-perfect village of Sandsend, Saltmoore is where the wild Yorkshire coastline meets rolling moorland. With 80 acres of woodland, lakes and landscaped gardens, this is a sanctuary — a place where time seems to slow the moment you arrive.

Whether you’re sipping morning coffee with the backdrop of lapping waves in, wandering hand in hand through golden autumn leaves or catching up over a festive afternoon tea with friends, Saltmoore captures the kind of peace that feels hard to find these days.

HLN TOP TIP: Saltmoore is dog-friendly — so your four-legged family members can enjoy the luxury too.

A NEW MILESTONE: TWO MICHELIN KEYS

In its very first year, Saltmoore has achieved an impressive accolade – Two MICHELIN Keys, awarded for excellence in hospitality, design and guest experience. It’s a well-deserved recognition that cements Saltmoore’s reputation as one of the North’s most exceptional destinations for rest and renewal.

CULINARY EXCELLENCE BY THE COAST

This autumn, Saltmoore has promoted Adam Maddock to Executive Chef. Known for his work in some of the UK’s top Michelin-starred kitchens, Maddock brings his passion for refined yet comforting food to Saltmoore’s growing culinary scene.

Maddock is curating menus that celebrate the best of Yorkshire’s land and sea. Expect hearty game, fresh seafood and hyper-seasonal ingredients brought together in dishes that are both elegant and so satisfying.

The Brasserie offers relaxed dining from breakfast through dinner, showcasing regional flavours with a modern twist, while the Wellness Café champions balance and nourishment through broths, salads and smoothies. And opening in 2026, the much-anticipated fine-dining restaurant Calluna will elevate the culinary offering even further, bringing an immersive tasting experience to the coast.
