This October half term, their much-loved nature reserve is transforming into a vibrant celebration of all things wild, weird and wonderful.

POND DIPPING
Saturday 25th, Monday 27th and Friday 31st October 2025
Grab a net and dive into the fascinating world beneath the surface. Join WWT’s friendly education team to discover pond life up close in the interactive Pondzone – from wriggly water beetles to surface skimming spiders. Learn how to safely identify and release your finds while gaining a brand-new appreciation for our freshwater friends.

OWL PELLET DISSECTION

Ready to explore the icky side of nature? This fascinating (and slightly spooky) session lets families dissect real owl pellets to uncover what these nocturnal hunters have been eating. It’s educational, hands-on and guaranteed to make curious minds tick. Not for the faint-hearted – but definitely one they’ll remember.
HALLOWEEN CRAFTS
