Just 14 miles from Newcastle, nestled in the rolling Northumberland countryside near Riding Mill, The Flower Folk have just recently opened the doors to their gorgeous new studio.
After a peaceful drive through leafy lanes, you’ll arrive at the beautiful stone farmstead where you’re greeted by wooden beams, a cosy fire and a warm welcome from The Flower Folk team on those crisp autumn days.
Expect a light-filled, spacious studio full of rustic charm – it’s the perfect backdrop for discovering your love of floristry.
After picking up the keys in March, owner Pip and her team have poured heart and soul into creating a space that feels both inspiring and welcoming.
THE FLOWER FOLK WORKSHOPS
Now, the studio is ready to host a full programme of workshops – from autumnal arrangements bursting with bold colours to festive Christmas wreath-making that will leave your front door looking extra special. Whether you’re a total beginner or already flower-obsessed, there’s something here to let your creative side bloom.

Dried Wreath Workshop

Autumn is the perfect time to embrace warm tones, textures and dried flowers – and The Flower Folk’s Dried Wreath Workshop is all about celebrating the season. You’ll be guided through the basics of floristry in a hands-on session, learning how to build a natural wreath base, wire stems securely and balance colours beautifully. Along the way, there’s plenty of chat about drying flowers at home and how to make your creations last.
With all materials provided and expert florists on hand, it’s a relaxed, creative workshop where inspiration flows as freely as the complimentary tea and biscuits. Our favourite part? You’ll leave with your own handcrafted wreath – a gorgeous, seasonal keepsake that’ll brighten your home long after the workshop ends.
