Willow Obelisk Workshop – Whitley Bay
This workshop will give you the tools and knowledge you need to make your very own willow obelisk. Perfect for garden’s your sweet peas, beans or favourite climbers.
On your visit to The Workshop in Whitley Bay, you will be guided through a fun and hands on willow obelisk workshop. Suitable for total beginners and advanced alike.
You will be using sustainable, locally sourced willow grown and harvested from a plot in the stunning Northumberland National Park. You will learn about the different varieties of willow used and the different traditional weaves you will be using. You will take home a unique handmade willow obelisk to put in your garden or place in a pot, where you can watch your favourite climbers grow through it. You will learn tradional weaving techniques and tips and tricks of the trade.
