True Crime Forum – Newcastle
True Crime Forum returns to Newcastle for its second year, a full day of expert-led workshops and an interactive detective experience exploring crime, justice, media and psychology.
Attendees choose one morning and one afternoon workshop from six sessions, spanning Dr Bethany Usher on the Lucy Letby case and media narratives, Workie Ticket Theatre on violence against women and girls through theatre and discussion, Crime Scene Insiders on the realities of crime scene investigation, Dr Rebecca Owens on the manosphere, Tanita Matthews on the Peter Sutcliffe case, and wildlife crime investigator Paul Bateman.
The day closes with a 90-minute interactive Detective Experience led by The Detective Rooms, working through a case together as a group, with lunch included throughout. Registration opens at 10am, with the first session starting at 10:30am and optional casual drinks nearby once the day wraps up.
