Sustainable Flower School with Periwinkle Barn – Raby Castle
The Conservatory at Raby Castle hosts a three-day introduction to sustainable floristry with Deborah Boston from Periwinkle Barn, set against the backdrop of historic parkland and walled gardens.
You’ll build confidence with flowers, explore seasonal British stems and learn the foundations of foam-free, sustainable floristry, guided through everything from selecting and conditioning stems to understanding colour, shape, texture and natural movement.
By the end, you’ll walk away with a hand-tied bouquet, bowl arrangement, meadow box and vase or urn arrangement, plus experience working on a much bigger flower installation. Lunch and refreshments are included throughout, along with your own pair of snips, a Periwinkle apron, a notebook, pen and a certificate on completion, ideal whether you’re after a creative retreat or the groundwork for a career in floristry.
