SUPER Natural October Half Term – Washington
Get ready for a wild October half term at WWT Washington, where the reserve is getting a magical makeover for SUPER Natural.
Expect a week of nature-inspired adventures, spooky discoveries and hands-on activities for little explorers, with plenty to keep the whole family entertained.
Across the week, you can make willow wands and marshland potions, create fairy ring wreaths, go pond dipping and head out on a minibeast hunt. There’s also the chance to dissect owl pellets, discover the fascinating stories behind wetland birds on a guided Birds of Myth and Superstition Walk, and explore Michael Turner’s Cabinet of Curiosities, packed with unusual natural treasures collected over four decades.
For something a little sweeter, head to the Waterside Café for spooky shortbread decorating, while the self-led Wet Wood wild things trail and SUPER Natural logbooks offer even more ways to explore the reserve at your own pace.
