Performance: Speak the Truth – Newcastle Contemporary Art
Speak the Truth is a performance piece tied to artist Delaine Le Bas’s earlier works ‘Zigeuner Sauce’ and ’Beware Of Linguistic Engineering’, which were performed in London and Berlin.
The title of the piece is pulled from a favourite saying of Le Bas’s nan, whose words “echo beyond death, travelling across time, and often not always what the recipient wanted to hear.”
The performance will involve wet paint, so it’s advised not to wear any clothing that drags on the floor.
