Moon Jar – Pottery with Kirsty Adams

Using the potters wheel – learn to throw and turn a small moon jar vase in textured white porcelain. The vase will then be taken away to be glazed and fired and will be ready to collect back at the gallery at an arranged time.

After making your moon jar there will be the opportunity to make 2 ‘flat’ items with rolling tools and tile cutters (such as coasters or hanging decorations).

Kirsty Adams is an award-winning ceramicist, making for over twenty years. She originally trained at Brighton Art College and then on the potters’ wheel in Japan. She has developed a personal approach to throwing on the wheel using porcelain clay, to produce unique pieces for the home.

Exhibiting nationally and internationally, her work has been commissioned by the likes of the National Trust, and she has been selected by the Michelangelo Foundation as a Master Artisan for their prestigious and globally renowned Homo Faber Guide.

Kirsty’s ceramics workshops present a special opportunity to learn from a prominent and respected maker in the contemporary craft world, in a relaxed and friendly environment.
