Meet a Bat at Gibside with Ranger Tim – Gateshead
Here’s a rare chance to meet a real bat up close at Gibside this half term.
Ranger Tim introduces Mabel, a common pipistrelle rescued by the local bat team who can no longer live in the wild, and shares everything about these special creatures and how you can help protect them.
For the bats’ welfare, everyone is asked to stay quiet and calm and wear a provided face mask, with the session led under Ranger Tim’s special bat-handling licence. Suitable for ages 5 and over, with children supervised throughout.
