Swinton Estate’s Starlight and Spa offer is Yorkshire glamping done right – save £70 a day

Tucked into 20,000 acres of the Swinton Estate, Swinton Bivouac is proving that off-grid doesn’t mean going without.

This autumn, the Yorkshire glamping spot has paired its wood-fired hot tubs and candle-lit tree lodges with something a little more indulgent: full access to the spa at Swinton Country Club, all wrapped up in one romantic package.

STARLIGHT AND SPA: THE OFFER TO BOOK BEFORE IT’S GONE

The Starlight and Spa package gets you two nights at the Bivouac with complimentary spa access thrown in, plus 20% off any spa treatments or spa day experiences during your stay. Swinton reckon it’s worth at least £70 a day for two guests, and honestly, once you’ve factored in the hydrotherapy pool and access to Swinton Estate Spa Garden, that tracks.

It’s available Sunday to Thursday for stays until Thursday 22nd October 2026, so there’s still time to grab a midweek escape. Just don’t leave it too late, as spa access needs pre-booking and is subject to availability.

WHAT YOU ACTUALLY GET

Spa access runs from midday until 3pm each day of your stay (not on departure day), and you’ll be sleeping in a Tree Lodge or The Loft, depending on what you book. Bathrobes and slippers are provided so you can drift between hot tub and log burner without breaking the mood, and that 20% treatment discount stretches across your whole stay, not just one visit.

Return to your lodge after a day exploring the estate and the contrast does half the work for you: swap spa robes for woodsmoke, city noise for the sound of nothing much at all.

WHERE YOU’LL SLEEP

For real seclusion, the Tree Lodges are five minutes into the woodland, each with a private hot tub on the decking and access to the new woodland sauna between 2pm and 6pm.

And if you’re travelling as a bigger group, The Loft sleeps up to six in the converted farmhouse, with an air fryer and telly for anyone not quite ready to go fully off-grid.

EATING WELL WITHOUT LEAVING THE ESTATE

The Bivouac Café serves hearty breakfasts, lunches and suppers with views over the Dales, and there’s plenty of outdoor seating for sunny mornings. Self-catering? You can order a pre-prepared meal from the estate’s chefs, or have a Yorkshire breakfast box delivered straight to your door.

If you want to explore further afield on the wider estate, there’s the Terrace Restaurant & Bar for something relaxed, or Samuel’s Restaurant if you’re after a proper sit-down dinner to round off the spa day.

ALREADY FALLEN FOR SWINTON ESTATE? HERE’S WHY IT’S A DREAM WEDDING SPOT TOO

If your dream wedding feels more festival field than grand ballroom, Swinton Bivouac is where you’ll want to tie the knot. Tucked into woodland with no neighbours for miles, it’s a totally private spot where you can exchange vows at the Druid’s Temple before gathering in the Tipi for relaxed dining, speeches and dancing.

The Bivouac wedding package includes all the Meadow Yurts, while exclusive hire adds the Tree Lodges and The Loft, sleeping up to 76 guests with the café, firepit, and woodland sauna all yours for the weekend.

There’s space for 80 guests on the day, with seasonal menus built around local produce, a licensed bar, and live music or a disco to keep things going into the night. As the sun drops, blankets and cushions keep everyone cosy under starlit Yorkshire skies, and bed is just a short stroll away.
