Rhoē, Jesmond’s newest wellness clinic, is now open – here’s everything you need to know

Rhoē welcomed its first clients on 7th September 2026. The clinic is built on the idea that if we look our best, we feel our best.

Under one roof you’ll find microneedling, chemical peels, anti-wrinkle injections, PRP, exosomes and Five Element Acupuncture, treatments the team believe work best in combination rather than isolation.

The Rhoē philosophy is simple: healthy, glowing skin starts with sleep, energy and a settled nervous system, not just what’s applied to the surface. It’s a full package approach from a team of doctors, dentists and specialists who’ve each brought their own clinical background to Jesmond, and who care as much about how you feel leaving the clinic as how you look.

MEET THE TEAM

Behind Rhoē is a team of four practitioners, each bringing a different discipline to the same goal.

Dr Tanveer Dhanoya - Rhoe

Dr Tanveer Dhanoya, Aesthetic Doctor, trained in advanced facial aesthetics with the Derma Institute and specialises in anti-wrinkle injections, microneedling and PRP therapy. As an obstetrics and gynaecology doctor, she brings an understanding of hormonal changes across a woman’s life, and how this can affect the skin, from the reproductive years through perimenopause and beyond.

“I wanted a clinic where results come from anatomy and evidence, not guesswork,” says Tanveer.

“Every treatment plan starts with understanding what someone’s skin has been through, not just what they want it to look like next.”

Dr Charlotte Ritchie, Five Element Acupuncturist, trained under master acupuncturist Gerad Kite and has recently completed her Advanced Licentiate qualification. She qualified as a medical doctor at Newcastle University in 2008 and worked in general practice for more than six years before training in acupuncture.

“Acupuncture gave me the piece that conventional medicine was missing,” says Charlotte.

“There’s a gap between where modern medicine finishes and feeling your absolute best, and that’s exactly where Five Element Acupuncture sits.”

Dr Charlotte Ritchie - Rhoe
Lucy Iveson - Rhoe

Lucy Iveson, Advanced Skin Specialist, has more than five years’ experience in the industry and holds a First Class Honours degree in Advanced Skin Techniques from Newcastle College University Centre, alongside training from HydraFacial, Medik8 and Dermaquest.

“No two people’s skin has been through the same thing, so no two treatment plans should look the same,” says Lucy.

“Microneedling in particular is one I love, because it works with the skin’s own repair process rather than against it.”

Amit Singh, Dental Surgeon & Facial Aesthetics, trained at the University of Hamburg and holds a Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Facial Aesthetics from the Derma Institute, London.

“My background as a dental surgeon means I have a foundational understanding of facial anatomy and can apply this to understanding how to achieve the aesthetics results clients want,” says Amit.

“I’d rather someone leaves looking refreshed than changed. That’s the line I work to.”

WHY ACUPUNCTURE COMPLETES THE PICTURE

Five Element Acupuncture is the treatment the Rhoē team are proudest to offer, and it sits at the centre of the clinic’s full package approach. Five Element Acupuncture is based on an ancient Chinese philosophy of finding balance within the body. Sometimes you can feel out of kilter, or low in energy, and the team see acupuncture as a therapy that supports people back to feeling their usual selves, whatever’s brought them in.

“When you’re having a course of acupuncture, you’re looking at your mood, your energy levels and your sleep quality,” the team explains.

“Without addressing those fundamentals, skin can’t look revitalised and glowing, however many products or treatments you throw at it. You’ll always look better when you feel better.”

It’s this thinking that ties Rhoē’s full treatment list together. Acupuncture relieves stress and helps sleep, and well rested skin will always look better in combination with the clinic’s other treatments, whether that’s exosomes, microneedling or a course of peels. Studies suggest acupuncture, used alongside conventional skin and aesthetic treatment, can support how the skin looks, as well as offering a genuinely restorative space for relaxation and stress relief. The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) already recommends acupuncture as an option for chronic primary pain, which the Rhoē team point to as part of a growing evidence base.

THE TREATMENT MENU

Rhoē's Jesmond Wellness Clinic

ANTI-WRINKLE INJECTIONS

Performed only by medically and dentally trained members of the team, anti-wrinkle injections at Rhoē treat forehead lines, frown lines, crow’s feet, bunny lines and lip lines, plus more advanced work including facial slimming through the masseter and gummy smile correction.

CHEMICAL PEELS

The NeoStrata ProSystem range covers a rejuvenating peel at 20% and 35% glycolic acid, a 30% citric acid brightening peel, a 30% mandelic and citric acid clarifying peel, and a retinol peel. Between them, they’re used to treat acne and congestion, pigmentation and sun damage, uneven skin tone, and fine lines.

MICRONEEDLING

Rhoē uses the XCellarisPRO Twist device, with an adjustable penetration depth of 0.25mm to 2.5mm, so treatment can be tailored to the skin concern and area. The controlled micro-channels created stimulate the skin’s natural repair process, encouraging collagen and elastin production for smoother, firmer, more even-toned skin.

PLATELET RICH PLASMA (PRP)

PRP works with the body’s own healing response rather than introducing anything synthetic. A small blood sample is processed in a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma, which is then injected into the skin or scalp, or combined with microneedling. The growth factors released stimulate collagen and elastin production, improve blood supply to tissues and support cell regeneration, leading to a gradual, natural improvement in skin quality and hair density.
