Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie

Friday 7th August

This third Paw Patrol movie combines the two things kids love: dogs and dinos. After their ship gets caught in a mysterious storm, the PAW Patrol pups crash land on an uncharted tropical island filled with dinosaurs. They meet Rex, a pup who has been stranded on the island for years and has become an expert in all things dino related. When the PAW Patrol’s arch-rival, Mayor Humdinger, begins recklessly mining in the hope of exploiting the island for its natural resources, he inadvertently causes a huge, dormant volcano to erupt.

The PAW Patrol pups are thrown into a series of high stakes, dino sized rescues, bigger than anything they have done before, as they must stop Humdinger before everything on the island goes extinct.

The End of Oak Street

Friday 14th August

The latest film from director David Robert Mitchell (It Follows). After a mysterious cosmic event rips Oak Street from suburbia and transports the neighbourhood somewhere unknown, the Platt family soon discovers that their very survival depends on them sticking together as they navigate their now unrecognisable surroundings. Stars Ewan McGregor (Birds of Prey) and Anne Hathaway, marking her fourth big cinema outing of 2026 (who knew?).

Coyote vs. ACME

Friday 21st August

After decades of being blown to bits by bombs, demolished by dynamite, mangled by magnets, battered by boulders, trampled by trains, tricked by tunnels, sprung by springs, steamrolled by steamrollers, maligned by misfires, bedevilled by bungees, rattled by rockets, backstabbed by bat suits, rocked by rocket skates, upended by unicycles, quaked by quake pills, rubberised by rogue bands, and hurled headlong off every cliff in the Southwest, Wile E. Coyote (genius) finally fights back. Teaming up with billboard accident lawyer Kevin Avery (Will Forte), he takes on slick corporate counsel Buddy Crane (John Cena) and ACME, Inc., the profit obsessed conglomerate behind every one of the Coyote’s chaotic catastrophes. Fun fact: in a juicy bit of irony, Warner Bros originally shelved the completed film back in 2023 as a tax write off. However, partly thanks to people power, the film was eventually allowed to find a new home.

Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma

Friday 21st August

A queer filmmaker is hired to direct a new instalment of a long running slasher franchise, and becomes fixated on the prospect of casting the final girl from the original.

After years of slapdash sequels and waning fandom, the Camp Miasma slasher franchise is handed over to an enthusiastic young director (Hannah Einbinder, Hacks) for resurrection. But when she visits the original movie’s star (Gillian Anderson, The X Files, Sex Education), a now reclusive actress shrouded in mystery, the two women fall into a blood soaked world of desire, fear and delirium.

The Dog Stars

Living legend Ridley Scott adapts Peter Heller’s novel The Dog Stars. Set in a post-apocalyptic world in which a virus has wiped out most of humanity, with survivors being terrorised by roaming scavengers called Reapers. Hig (Jacob Elordi) is a pilot living with his dog, who survived the flu that killed everyone he knew, his wife included. When a random transmission somehow beams through his radio, it sparks a dangerous journey that blends survival drama with a glimmer of hope. With a strong cast that includes Josh Brolin, Margaret Qualley and Guy Pearce, and Scott’s signature scale, it promises gripping visuals and tension.

The Whisper Man

Friday 28th August, Netflix

The Whisper Man, based on Alex North’s bestselling novel, stars Adam Scott as a widowed crime writer whose 8-year-old son is abducted. He turns to his estranged father, a retired detective played by Robert De Niro, for help after the disappearance is connected to a decades old case involving a notorious serial killer named The Whisper Man. Michelle Monaghan and Michael Keaton also star.
