What April’s Full Moon in Libra means for you

By Kerry Sweeney

The Libra Full Moon arrives on Thursday 2nd April at 3:11am, sitting at 12 degrees of Libra. This is the first Full Moon following the Spring Equinox; it marks a powerful moment of reset, renewal and realignment.

We caught up with our resident astrologer, Kerry Sweeney, to find out what it means for us…

A COSMIC CHECK-IN: ARE YOU IN BALANCE?

Libra, ‘the harmoniser’ of the zodiac, is all about peace, balance and harmony. Under this Full Moon, anything that feels off kilter in your life may come into sharp focus. Not to overwhelm you, but to guide you back into alignment with your truth and your soul’s purpose.

Think of this as your cosmic check-in.

RELATIONSHIPS UNDER THE SPOTLIGHT

Ruled by Venus (the planet of love, beauty and values), Libra energy draws attention to our relationships.

This isn’t just about others. It’s about you, too.

Are your relationships nourishing or draining?

Do they support your growth?

And how are you showing up for yourself?

This Full Moon asks you to look inward. To notice where you may be neglecting your own needs, and to gently begin restoring that balance.

THE SELF VS OTHERS DYNAMIC

With the Sun in Aries (the sign of independence and self) opposing the Moon in Libra, there’s a clear tension between your needs and everyone else’s.

It’s time to get honest:
Are you over-giving?
Are you people-pleasing?
Are you leaving yourself running on empty?

This energy is here to help you reclaim your space, your energy and your sense of self.

EXPECT EMOTIONS TO RISE

Full Moons naturally heighten emotions, but with Jupiter, the planet of expansion, in the mix, everything may feel a little more intense than usual.

If something feels big right now, it’s likely because it’s ready to be seen, processed and released.

YOUR FULL MOON RESET

This is your moment to let go of what no longer serves you – habits, patterns, relationships or beliefs that are keeping you out of balance.

Ask yourself:

Where in my life am I giving too much of myself to others?

What three things am I ready to release to restore balance?

A SIMPLE RITUAL TO LET GO

Create a moment of stillness. Reflect, journal and write down three things you are ready to release.

Then safely burn the paper under the Full Moon as a symbolic act of letting go.

Make space for something better.

Happy Libra Full Moon
