If a new hobby is on your New Year’s resolution list, allow us to introduce you to your new obsession: Tribal Cycle Jesmond.

Newcastle’s first purpose-built spin studio has landed in Jesmond, and trust us when we say this isn’t your average gym spin class.

Think nightclub vibes, unreal playlists, mood lighting, next-level bikes and instructors who genuinely want you to have a good time while working out. Yes, you’ll sweat, but you’ll also leave grinning – it’s all about making fitness fun and becoming a part of a community.

Even better? You can try your first class completely free. Sign up for your free first class here.

WHERE FITNESS MEETS FUN: INSIDE NEWCASTLE’S FIRST STATE-OF-THE-ART SPIN STUDIO

Tucked inside Northumberland Tennis Club beside Hot Pod Yoga, Tribal Cycle was created after its founders explored high-end spin studios around the world and realised… Newcastle was missing something special.

The result? A fully immersive indoor cycling experience that feels more like a party than a workout. We’re talking a pumping sound system, disco-inspired lights, pristine bikes, optional power monitors and even immersive virtual rides. It’s the kind of place where 45 minutes fly by before you’ve even clocked how hard you’re working.

And if spin feels a little intimidating, don’t stress — at Tribal Cycle, it’s anything but. You’re always in control of your own resistance, so whether it’s your very first ride or you’re a seasoned cyclist, you can go entirely at your own pace.

There’s no competition, no judgement and absolutely no pressure. Instructors won’t be hovering or calling you out — they’re there to encourage you and make sure you’re actually enjoying the ride. Just good energy, great music and a space where everyone feels welcome.

A PROPER COMMUNITY (NOT JUST A WORKOUT)

What really sets Tribal apart is the tribe. This is a studio built on community — from regular riders who hype each other up, to instructors who actually know your name, cheer you through the tough bits and will become your friend in no time.

There are social rides, post-spin coffees (hello, Sisters Spin Saturdays), and regular get-togethers that make it feel like more than just a fitness class. People come for the workout, but they stay for the friendships.

There’s a ride for every mood, music taste and energy level:

Rise 45
Early birds, this one’s for you. Get it done before work and start your day feeling unstoppable.

Tribe 45
The signature ride. Music-led, high-energy and instructor-driven, with every coach bringing their own unique vibe.

Themed Rides
Taylor Swift. ABBA. Disco. 80s bangers. These are Tribal’s most popular classes for a reason — you’ll be too busy vibing to notice the burn.

Private Hire Rides
Birthday? Hen do? Uni social? Corporate event? You can hire the studio for private parties from just £4 per bike. You pick the theme — they bring the party.
