A new level of luxury: The Lake Cabins
Launching mid-August 2025, The Tempus’ Lake Cabins provide a completely new way to experience the estate. Set against a backdrop of peaceful woodland and overlooking the private lake, these eight contemporary cabins are designed for two, and four of them welcome up to two dogs per stay.
With bespoke interiors by award-winning Jeffreys Interiors, expect natural materials, muted colour palettes and design-led touches from Restoration Hardware and Lusso. But the standout feature? A handcrafted William Holland spa bath on your own private terrace, made for lazy summer evenings under the stars.
Guests staying in the Lake Cabins can enjoy access to The Orangery Restaurant and Bar at The Tempus to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Prices start from £155 per night (B&B, based on two guests sharing), and bookings are now open for stays from summer 2025.
Yurt life, elevated
For those craving something a little more rustic, but just as refined, The Tempus’ new yurts offer a luxury glamping experience with a twist.
Nestled in the grounds and designed for couples, the four yurts feature countryside and lakeside views, private decking, and a cosy, characterful interior. Sold on a room-only basis, they offer a tranquil retreat that still gives access to The Tempus’ celebrated Orangery Restaurant and Bar. Plus, they’re all dog-friendly – ideal for those who want to explore the Northumberland coast and countryside with four-legged companions in tow.
Prices start from £135 per night (based on two guests sharing).
Dine, drink and soak up the sun
When it comes to dining, The Tempus has something for everyone. The Orangery is the estate’s all-day restaurant, with a menu of seasonal dishes served in a beautiful botanical-inspired setting. Start the day with fresh pastries and coffee, linger over lunch, or book in for dinner and cocktails as the sun sets across the estate.
For something a little more relaxed (and filled with vibes), The Tipi offers alfresco drinks and snacks on Fridays and Saturdays throughout the summer – the perfect spot for a post-walk G&T or sundowner with friends.
Summer sessions
Don’t miss the Grill & Chill Summer Sessions. Held monthly from July through September, these laid-back afternoons include 90 minutes of unlimited drinks, a BBQ buffet, and live music from saxophonists and acoustic duos. With tickets priced at £49.95pp and limited availability, booking early is essential.

Family-friendly fun
While the estate is known for romance and retreat, there’s plenty for families, too. The brand-new children’s play area – designed by HomeFrontOutdoorPlay – offers everything from a fireman’s pole and climbing frame to bucket swings and slides, giving younger guests their own adventure zone to play safely.
