Proven Goods Co. – Doughnut and coffee shop in Hoults Yard, Newcastle

Proven Goods Co. started out as a little market stall at Tynemouth Market back in 2017, before growing into a dedicated shop specialising in traditional hand rolled, slow proved doughnuts and ethically sourced coffee. It’s now based in Hoults Yard, just along from the Quayside and the Ouseburn Valley.

The draw: the doughnuts are the whole point here, with a rotating monthly menu of inventive flavours like speculoos creme brûlée, gooseberry fool and PB&J peanut butter custard, alongside good coffee to go with them.

Hours:

Closed Monday to Wednesday.

Thursday to Sunday, 10am to 3pm (expect queues at the weekend).

Vibe check: a proper destination for doughnut lovers rather than a passing convenience stop, worth planning around their limited opening days.
