GOODS – organic grocer, all-day kitchen and juice bar, Newcastle

From founder Rob Clarkson, whose past projects include Jam Jar, Market Shaker, Pumphreys, Frate, Mimo and The Prince, GOODS brings an organic grocer, an all-day kitchen and a juice bar together under one roof at Metrovick House. The seed-oil-free hot bar is built around a feature rotisserie chicken oven, with speciality coffee, ceremonial-grade matcha and cold-pressed juices from the bar, and a grocer stocked with a deliberate line-up of independents you won’t find in a conventional supermarket.

The draw: Build-your-own trays, one protein and two sides, cooked fresh on site daily by real chefs rather than reheated in. The kitchen and shelves are stocked by a genuine line-up of North East independents, including Charlotte’s Butchery, Grate, Deep North, Northern Rye and Ouseburn Coffee Company.

Address: Metrovick House, Northumberland Road, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 8JF

Hours: Opening late summer 2026. Daily, 8am to 8pm.

Vibe check: Casual yet purposeful, relaxed yet warm. A genuine solve for the 1pm lunchtime compromise, and a place designed to be doted on rather than just grabbed and gone, good for a solo lunch, a family visit, or a low-key catch-up.
