Wild Walk – Washington Wetland Centre

This hour-long wild walk lets you take in the sights and sounds of the reserve in winter.

The Centre’s wardens will lead the way, telling you about different catkins, nuts and seeds (and what may have nibbled them). See if you can spot any snowdrops along the way!

Feel free to ask any questions you have during the walk. You can also practise your wildlife identification skills with some expert tips and hints.

For any photographers out there, this is a great opportunity to capture the beautiful creatures that appear along the walk.

A huge crowd of people dressed in festival attire stand behind a railing facing forward to an unseen stage. Many of them raise their arms in the air and sing along. In the background, the large structure of St James Park stadium can be seen.
