The Ouse Burn Way Butterfly Walk – Newcastle

NHSN Events hosts a friendly, relaxed butterfly walk at Woolsington Parish Ponds, part of The Ouse Burn Way project supported by the Reece Foundation.

Led by Audrey Linden, the walk explores the local area to spot and identify butterfly species, with sightings recorded to contribute to valuable wildlife data.

The route covers around 1.5 miles along an uneven, sometimes muddy trail, so sturdy footwear is a must, and the site isn’t considered wheelchair accessible. Suitable for all ages and abilities otherwise, with no on-site parking, so it’s worth planning a route in advance.
