The Beekeeper of Aleppo – Theatre Royal

Nuri is a beekeeper. His wife, Afra, is an artist. Living in the beautiful Syrian city of Aleppo, they enjoy a simple life, rich in family and friends… until the unthinkable happens.

The Beekeeper of Aleppo follows Nuri and Afra as they escape their home after everything they care for is destroyed. On their journey, they must face their own terrible pain alongside immense danger, as well as find each other again.

This emotional play is not just about the terrors of war – it’s a story of connection between friends, family and strangers.
