Spooky Sculpting: Halloween Ceramics – Newcastle
Kiln Pottery hosts Spooky Sculpting, a hand-building workshop where you’ll create your own spooky ceramic decorations, from haunting ghosts to lantern candle holders and eerie cauldron pots.
Running across various dates through September and October, no pottery experience is needed, with pinch-potting, slab-building and sculpting all covered to find whichever technique feels best in your hands.
The 90-minute session starts with refreshments and a quick look at finished Halloween ceramics for inspiration, before a demo of hand-building methods and then hands-on making time, with the team on hand to help, offer tips or rescue any collapsing structures. Once finished, pieces are dried, glazed and kiln-fired, taking around six weeks before they’re ready to collect.
