Summerhill Bowling Club hosts the North East’s first festival dedicated to the sandwich.
Summerhill Bowling Club welcomes Sandwich Jam on Sunday 30th August from 11am to 7pm, a free daylong party bringing together some of the region’s best sandwich makers for the North East’s first ever festival celebrating the mighty sandwich.
Sample signature sandwiches from the likes of Lita, Handsome Sandwich and Cubanos, wash it down at the fully stocked bar or a sandwich-themed pop-up cocktail bar, and browse “The Bake Sale Of Dreams” in aid of local charities. There’s live music, kids’ activities and gelato too, with a picnic blanket on the bowling green the perfect vantage point.
