Saltwell Park’s 150th Celebration Day – Gateshead
Saltwell Park marks 150 years as “The People’s Park” on Thursday 30th July, with a free day of family-friendly activities running as part of Love Parks Week.
Expect live music at the Bandstand, creative workshops in Saltwell Towers and circus performances including aerial skills. There’s also nature-themed activities with Gateshead Libraries, Street Scene vehicles to climb aboard, and a guided heritage walk with local historian Michael Turner. Tennis sessions for little ones and a wellbeing walk round off the programme.
