Red Squirrel Fun Day – Cramlington
East Cramlington Nature Reserve hosts a Red Squirrel Fun Day, run by Northumberland Wildlife Trust with the Cramlington and District Red Squirrel Group. It’s a drop-in event so visitors can stay for as much or as little of the day as they like, and dogs are welcome.
Learn how red squirrels are protected locally, then get stuck into squirrelly crafts including lino printing and wooden squirrel decorating, plus storytelling in the woods. Guided squirrel walks set off from the gazebo at 1pm and 3pm, with sturdy shoes recommended for the uneven woodland paths. Suitable for ages 3 and up.
