Empire Theatre & Cinema hosts Northern Live: Do I Love You, keeping faith with the original sounds of Northern Soul, the underground movement that started on the dancefloors of 1970s northern England before sweeping the nation.
An 11-piece live band and four lead vocalists bring over 30 Northern Soul classics to the stage, paying tribute to the artists and musicians forever etched into vinyl.
Expect favourites including Frank Wilson’s “Do I Love You (Indeed I Do),” Dobie Gray’s “Out on the Floor,” Gloria Jones’ “Tainted Love” and Al Wilson’s “The Snake,” among many more, for a night that transports you straight to the heyday of soul.
