Quayside hosts the return of NE1’s Dragon Boat Race, one of the most exciting city events of the year, back on the River Tyne Quayside for 2026.
Teams of paddlers and a drummer race in colourful dragon boats between the Tyne Bridge and Millennium Bridge, all in support of The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation, raising vital funds for a great local cause. Expect thrilling races, live entertainment along the Quayside and a brilliant community atmosphere, perfect for a fun day out.
