Horticultural Show 2026 – County Durham
Beamish Museum’s Events Field hosts the Horticultural Show, run in partnership with the North East Horticultural Society, celebrating the region’s growing traditions.
Expect fierce, friendly competition as a vast array of vegetables, flowers and crafts are put forward to be judged, alongside The Beamish Challenge, covering homegrown vegetables, floral arrangements, arts and crafts, and food and drink.
There’s also a dedicated Youth Section with classes for ages 6 and under, 7 to 10, and 11 to 16, including miniature gardens, clippy and proggy mats, and best decorated gingerbread person. Keep an eye out too for the Beamish Tony Jobling Cup, a fiercely competitive contest between area teams of Beamish staff and volunteers who spend all year preparing their entries.
