Haltwhistle Music Festival – Northumberland

Vindolanda Trust is proud to sponsor the brand new Haltwhistle Music Festival, the town’s first-ever event of its kind, filling Haltwhistle with live music, workshops, dancing and community spirit.

Highlights include a performance from award-winning folk duo Janice Burns and Jon Doran at Holy Cross Church, a tea dance with live music from Brief Encounter Duo, a silent movie screening of Piccadilly, an African drumming workshop, live music on the Market Square Stage from The Chain (a Fleetwood Mac tribute), a folk session, a record sale, up-and-coming local performers and an instant film workshop.

Venues span Holy Cross Church, the Methodist Hall, the Masonic Hall, St Wilfrid’s Church Hall, the Yellow Bird Cafe, The Milecastle Inn and the Market Square. It’s an eclectic weekend of performances, sessions and community music-making at venues across town, entirely free to attend, though some events require advance booking due to limited capacity.
