Deer Park Safari – County Durham
Raby Castle’s Deer Park opens up for a guided safari, led by a knowledgeable ranger sharing insights into the deer and the park’s history.
Expect herds of red and fallow deer, with the ranger covering their behaviours, diet and the conservation efforts in place to protect them, all set against ancient trees, rolling parkland and tranquil ponds. There’s plenty of opportunity for photography too, with the guide on hand to help find the best spots. It’s a walking tour, so suitable footwear is needed.
