Curator’s Museum Tour – Northumberland
Roman Vindolanda Museum hosts an exclusive after-hours tour with the Trust’s curator, Barbara Birley.
The curated tour explores the remarkable survival of organic materials buried beneath the Vindolanda Roman fort for nearly two millennia, with Barbara’s expert knowledge on hand to delve deeper into the stories behind the objects and see artefacts up close.
Light refreshments are provided, and the ticket includes same-day site entry to Roman Vindolanda Fort and Museum, with arrival recommended two to three hours before your tour time to fully explore the site. These exclusive, up-close experiences have a strictly limited capacity of eight people maximum, with a four-person minimum to run, so smaller bookings will be liaised with to find a suitable shared date.
Other dates for this tour run on 29th October and 19th November.
