Creative Age Exhibition
This moving exhibition displays art created by people living with dementia and their carers – and its run at Washington Arts Centre has been extended by popular demand.
The group behind the exhibition, Creative Age, was one of two Wearside groups formed in 2016 to support people with dementia and their carers through artistic workshops.
Supported by Sunderland Culture, one group meets at Arts Centre Washington and the other meets at Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens. Both are led by local artists who help participants explore and engage with a range of different art forms.
The Creative Age Exhibition features work from both groups and includes ceramic work, paintings, glass work and animation.
