St Mary’s Lighthouse in Whitley Bay hosts Celebrate our Geordie Shores , the first marine event from Northumberland Wildlife Trust’s young people’s forum.
Expect TED-style talks and bird walks led by young people, nature arts and crafts, and a rock pooling session with lighthouse staff at low tide. There’s a chill-out space with craft activities for anyone who’d rather skip the main sessions, plus free treats from Greggs, though a packed lunch is recommended as catering can’t cover all dietary needs.
