Burlesque the Musical – Sunderland
Sunderland Empire hosts the UK tour of Burlesque the Musical, following the show’s sold-out run as summer 2025’s biggest West End hit.
From executive producer Christina Aguilera and writer Steven Antin, the show follows Ali as she arrives in New York searching for the mother she never knew, stumbling into a dazzling underground world of music, movement and mystery that changes her life forever.
The cast includes Faye Brookes as Tess Richarde, alongside Ryan Carter, Gracie O’Brien making her professional stage debut as Ali Rose, Davide Fienauri, Tyler Davis and Vanessa Ela Young, with powerhouse songs from Christina Aguilera, Sia and Diane Warren plus new numbers from Todrick Hall and Jess Folley. Age guidance is 12+, with strobe lighting, smoke and haze used throughout.
