Beach Clean and Seaweed Spotting – Blyth
Northumberland Wildlife Trust hosts a Marine Week beach clean at Blyth Beach, led by a local resident studying marine biology.
Meeting outside the Dave Stephens Centre, the two-hour session pairs a hands-on litter pick with the chance to identify different species of seaweed found along the shore.
No experience is necessary, with gloves and litter pickers provided, though bringing your own is welcome. Tickets are free and booking is required to ensure enough PPE is available; children must be supervised by a responsible adult throughout.
