BBC Proms: ‘Round Midnight with Soweto Kinch – The Fire Station
This summer, the BBC Proms is making its Sunderland debut at The Fire Station.
The evening kicks off the four-day festival in the North East with a show by Soweto Kinch – jazz saxophonist, hip-hop artist, curator, and presenter.
Soweto, who hosts the late-night Radio 3 show ’Round Midnight’, will showcase the best of jazz with an eclectic mix of special guests, including NYC/LA-based jazz innovator Theo Croker, the Joe Webb Trio and Newcastle-based rising star Rivkala.
