Again and Again and Again – Northumberland
Roman Vindolanda Museum unveils Again and Again and Again, a major new site-specific art installation by British artist Susie MacMurray, created during her 2026 residency at the Trust.
The triptych draws on materials Roman inhabitants once had at their fingertips, beeswax, Haircap moss, Soay sheep wool and bone, offering a hands-on response to nearly 2,000 years of remarkable preservation beneath the fort.
The installation is included with standard admission, alongside a temporary display of the archaeological artefacts that directly inspired MacMurray’s work, giving visitors the chance to compare the original finds with her response to them.
