A Room Of One’s Own – Alnwick Playhouse

This witty and intelligent performance is a modern-day take on Virginia Woolf’s 1928 exploration of poverty, sexual inequality, and the impact these have on intellectual freedom and creativity.

The audience will be taken on a trip through the history of literature, feminism, and gender with humour and directness.

Along the way, you’ll meet Charlotte Brontë, Jane Austen, Aphra Behn, and Shakespeare’s sister – Judith!  Travel to the far-flung future of… 2028.
