Kynren returns to Bishop Auckland with its epic outdoor theatre performances running every Saturday from 19th July to 13th September. Set on a massive 7.5-acre stage, over 1,000 volunteers bring 2,000 years of English history, myth, and legend to life in a dazzling 90-minute show.
From Boudicca’s fierce battles to the dramatic World Wars, you’ll witness breathtaking stunts, horsemanship, pyrotechnics and stunning video projections. This family-friendly and largest live-action show in the UK is packed with thrills, laughs, tears and moments that’ll give you goosebumps – all finishing off in a spectacular fireworks finale under the stars.
This year’s show features a brand-new Jubilee scene with fresh music, choreography and projections — plus the return of the immersive Viking Village pre-show experience, where you can meet blacksmiths, warriors and wool-spinners from 9th-century life.
Since bursting onto the scene in 2015, Kynren has become County Durham’s must-see event – and now it’s your chance to see it in VIP style.
